The two windsurfing centres are surfing club Drusus and windsurfing centre Roermond. Surfclub Drusus is only accessible for members. At windsurfcenter Roermond day recreation is possible for a small fee. They have a 450 metres well-mowed grass beach and a playground. There are enough parking places, changing cabins and toilets, and even in the weekends there is often a snack wagon. You can also hire surfing gear, canoes, kayaks and catamarans. Oolderplas
The Oolderplas is also called the Oolerplas, and refers to the hamlet of Ool. This lake was created by gravel extraction and is extremely suitable for quiet recreation and water sports. There are two windsurfing centres. The water surface is 1.5 km long and 1 km wide.
